Yesterday morning, we had the pleasure of hosting the ILEA NYC Metro Education breakfast centered on a conversation that matters deeply to our industry: Excess to Impact.

Moderated by the wonderful Lois Wilkins, the panel featured Chef Chris Tonti, Managing Director Tommy Preti, and Sammie Paul, Executive Director of food recovery org, diving into the real work behind responsible hospitality! From preventing waste before it starts, to thoughtful sourcing and ordering, to pre-planning for food after an event, reducing single-use plastics, and finding meaningful ways to support food-insecure communities.

The conversation was honest, practical, and elevated by a powerful Q&A with voices from across the events and hospitality world—proof that change happens when we ask better questions and share smarter solutions.
